Dom Perignon 1999
tiny and active bubbles. Bread and yeast. Apple, cream, and pineapple. Very great, but not so surprised as my first Dom Perignon (vintage 2000) 3 wks ago.
SY Rating: 18/20
Coulee de Serrant 1996
A bit aged flavor with oxidized notes. Good acidity. Honey, baked cookie, nuts, bouquet and a bit old wood. Some citrus and apple flavors. Length is good. Should drink now, aging might improve only a bit. Chewy mouthfeel.
SY Rating: 18.5/20
Hospices de Nuits Nuits St Georges Les St Georges Les Sires De Vergy Cuvee Jefferson 1986
Too old, past the peak. The body is dispersed, and the nose is much better. Dry plum, old and rot wood, wet leather, withered leaves.
SY Rating: 15/20
Louis Latour Corton-Charlemagne 2006
Mineral, lemon, creamy (oak note is not too over), green apple, peach note. Very lingering. Lovely crisp acidity.
SY Rating: 18.5/20
Mongeard-Mugneret Richebourg 2007
Moss, wet soil, grass, raspberry, cranberry, old wood cask, distinct flowers. Very elegant. A bit too early to drink.
SY Rating: 19/20
Marquis de Calon 2007
2nd label of Calon Segur. Typical St.-Estephe style, green pepper and black currant. Medium+ tannin (a bit rough). Actually many people are stuck in the previous Richebourg. LOL
SY Rating: 17/20
