<p>熱前菜 &#8211; 加拿大鵝肝佐藍莓波特醬汁搭配白桃 (Canadian foie gras poached, served with blue berry port wine sauce &#038; peach. Pairing with Dr. Loosen Urziger Wurzgarten Riesling Kabinett 2009, Mosel, Germany)<br />
不用吃就知道這個搭配很讚，略甜且帶適當酸度的酒來搭鵝肝以及略甜味的醬汁與白桃不太可能失敗。<br />

好吃，特別是義大利餃，不過可惜的是龍蝦略乾。搭配的餐酒 Domaine de Cezin Rose 2009 來自Coteaux du Loire, France，這個搭配也很好，充分引出海鮮的味道。<br />

<p>主菜 &#8211; 香煎安格斯無骨黑牛搭迷你洋蔥節瓜花 (Black Angus Beef seared, baby onion, courgette flower, dried tomato, dauphinoise potatoes &#038; beef reduction. Pairing with Chateau Villa Bel Air 2005, Graves, Bordeaux, France)<br />
牛排(其他的是配角所以跳過 XD)。個人不太滿意旁邊的牛排醬汁收得有點乾，以及海鹽與黑胡椒在盤上的位置，所以也直接跟 Ryan 說了&#8230;<br />
牛肉為三分熟，跟酒的搭配很棒。另外，紅酒單喝也很好，Lynch Bages 家族的實力果然不容小覷。<br />

<p>主菜 &#8211; 低溫烘烤鮭魚佐南瓜搭配甘藍與味噌醬 (Salmon seared unilateral on the skin, roasted pumpkin, Brussels sprout, miso sauce. Pairing with Torres Vina Esmeralda 2010, Penedes, Spain)<br />
非常好吃的一道菜，尤其跟所搭配的酒 Torres Vina Esmeralda 2010 結合得很棒，Muscat 與 Gewurztraminer 的荔枝與玫瑰香氣以及柑橘口感整個跟食物融合在一起。<br />

<p>另外還有一個甜點法式蘋果塔，搭配的酒是 Domaine des Bernadine 2009, Muscat Beaurnes de Venise, France。這裡沒有正式的甜點師傅，所以都是跟外頭的甜點蛋糕店配合，所以在甜點這邊就弱掉，甚為可惜。</p>

總結，每道餐都搭配酒的菜單非常的棒，是 Ryan 這邊的優勢，不過在餐點上仍須趕快加油(特別是甜點)！</p>

		<description><![CDATA[前一兩天臨時決定要去 Victoria&#8230; 一早就要出門去 Creekside Park 那邊搭客運去 Tsawwassen 轉 Ferry，到了 Victoria 之後都差不多中午了，所以先找地方坐下來吃午餐，這家 Re-bar素食餐廳還蠻讚的 &#160; &#160; 午餐之後因為持續陰雨，所以又是躲進室內，到 Royal British Columbia Museum 繼續印地安文化課程 XD 比較特殊的是這裡有做縮小模型來呈現以前印地安村落的樣貌，每個都十分精緻，連每戶人家門前的圖騰都有刻，還都不太一樣 等雨稍停時間也晚了，所以也只能附近隨意走走逛逛，鄰近有 British Columbia 省的議會 (原來BC省的行政中心並不在 Vancouver 喔. ) 還有 The Fairmont Empress 喔，對了，還可以坐馬車來個 tour 回程天氣開始放晴，甲板上就多了許多曬太陽的遊客。視野很空曠、空氣很透明、海風有著鹹味的清新、景色很漂亮&#8230; 有些小屋就蓋在海上的小島上，在這種地方度假應是無比愜意&#8230; 下次真的應該自己開車上 Ferry 過來這邊，然後玩個兩三天&#8230; 還有好多地方沒去啊 Q_Q]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[天氣雨&#8230; 所以去逛 Creekside Park 那邊的 Science World，不過說真的，以前去 San Francisco 的時候逛的 Exploratorium (在 Golden Gate Bridge 附近的 Palace of Fine Arts 隔壁) 還比較有趣，票價也比較便宜。 XD 唯一可以慶幸的是這天的晚餐很好吃，跑去 Gastown 的 Steaming Clock 附近的 MOMO Sushi，這大概是在歐美地區吃過最讚的 chirashi sushi 了&#8230; 其他的餐點也好吃 &#160;&#160; 當然要去看一下 Steaming Clock&#8230; 雨天中冒著蒸汽的蒸汽鐘看起來很好看，不過仍不及後來在明信片上看到的夜景蒸汽鐘，可謂金碧輝煌、燦爛奪目。 附近也可以看到 Vancouver 開市市長 Gassy Jack 的紀念銅像。(History of Vancouver)]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[前一次到昇壽司是去年四月，講給師傅聽的時候還被說是鮭魚洄游。 XD 這回是因為在團購網站上面看到了可以買昇壽司團購券，五五折好便宜，而且團購網站都引了我之前的食記來 promoting 了，不買怎麼可以呢 XD 這回去的當天實在超冷，店裡面的客人也變得很少，不過這樣就可以跟師傅閒聊了。 跟之前來的時候一樣，上茶、小菜，再來擺上胡麻豆腐跟日式沙拉，晚餐開始~ 對了，這回給了熱手巾，在冷冷的天氣很不賴。 吃完胡麻豆腐之後首先上場的是小鯛魚，不過因為太猴急就吃掉了忘記拍照&#8230; XD 想看的可以自己去網路上面找別人拍的。 接下來是竹筴魚 接著是軟絲(還是花枝?切成一片一片的之後我還是不會分&#8230; stO) 原本對這樣的順序還蠻好奇的，竹筴魚現在算是不錯的季節，去皮之後吃應該更可以感受到油脂的味道。不過看起來是紫蘇葉跟軟絲新鮮的味道使得這樣的順序不顯得突兀。 接下來直接就跳鮪魚了，還好是油脂比較少的部位。 紅魽&#8230; 這貫好吃，肉質Q彈香氣十足 海膽牡丹蝦。蝦肉新鮮甜美，海膽奶味十足，當下很想喝 Chablis&#8230; ~&#8221;~ 很好吃的烘蛋，讓人想買回去當早餐吃。(應該會很貴吧 XD) 炸牛蒡手卷。炸過的牛蒡絲配上海苔，使得原本的牛蒡味道變得沒那麼重，就算不喜歡吃牛蒡的人應該也可以接受。 尖梭。 醋飲。裡頭有唇菜、山藥，還有一個忘了 STO 涼涼的加上咕溜的口感，炎熱的夏天喝這個一定很舒服。 看似普通的蒸蛋，其實裡面&#8230;.. 有鮑魚!!!!!這實在太殺了 XD 紫蘇竹筴魚唐揚。這是師傅招待，好吃得沒話說。 焗烤山藥明太子。又是另一驚喜!明太子的份量給得很足但又不會太過，吃起來整個嘴巴是滿滿的香味。 牡丹蝦頭味噌湯。 飯後水果點心。中間的番茄特別好吃 總評，原價都值得再去。過了一年水準依舊，對比新竹一些做餐飲的不禁讓我悲從中來 Q_Q]]></description>

		<description><![CDATA[雖然從過年前一路拖到現在才吃到，還是感謝肚魚大正妹帶路 原本過年前就有打算來吃，只是一夥人的時間都很難約在一起，就拖到四月初了，不過這天原本要來的人還是沒有全部到齊&#8230; Anyway, 上菜吧！ 我喜歡紫洋蔥，冰鎮處理得不錯，所以去掉了刺鼻味道，把清甜留下。 白蘿蔔我覺得醃得不錯，個人喜歡這種不是醃得太濕的口感，如果是早餐拿來配白飯應該也很美味&#8230; 花生豆腐，味道不是太過濃郁，要不然接下來上的白肉魚類就吃不出什麼味道了。 喔，今天配的是 Cloudy Bay 2008 Sauvignon Blanc，清淡的柳橙、檸檬味道，以及紐西蘭 Sauvignon Blanc 常有的清爽芭樂味，微酸的口感。整餐下來果然跟白肉生魚片很好搭配。 整餐吃下還蠻多道菜的，這邊就只寫印象深刻，主要都是其他地方不太容易吃到的東西或者是做得超級好吃的菜色。 鮭魚洋蔥捲，上頭的紫蘇花搭配鮭魚的氣味很棒。 烤比目魚鰭邊。香脆可口，配啤酒應該超美味。 灸烤鮪魚中腹握。烤得很剛剛好，把油脂適量地逼出，可以同時吃到灸烤的魚油香，還可以吃到裡頭魚肉彈性的鮮美。 海膽軍艦捲。新鮮，超鮮美的奶油香！ (OS: 這個應該可以配一下新世界的 chardonnay?!) 無花果 (fig)。很難得吃到的東西，這是第一次吃到新鮮的無花果，很想努力記得這個味道，因為在一些白酒的描述裡頭會提到這樣的香氣，不過這對我來說實在太不熟悉，要記住可能需要多吃幾次吧。 XD 師傅講解中&#8230; 講了才知道無花果之所以珍奇&#8230; 燉白蘿蔔章魚。加了紅豆下去悶煮，烹調地剛剛好，章魚一整個軟Q香甜。這道菜是全部裡頭最最最喜歡的一道。 柿餅捲。裡頭是鳳梨(應該沒記錯?) 除了上面那些之外還紅喉、比目魚、鯛魚、味增湯、牛小排、軟殼蟹、牡丹蝦等都有一定水準。照片要看的話在這邊。 喔，對了，地址在台北市忠孝東路四段208-1號。 一定很多人會站在208號與208-2號中間納悶208-1號究竟在哪裡，這時候就勇敢地向中間的柱子走過去吧！ 不是啦，又不是哈利波特的月台，其實208-1號入口是在同一棟大樓的背面，所以繞到後面巷子就可以找到。]]></description>

<p>Before leaving Damme, I was attracted by the green tunnel.</p>

<p>The green tunnel lasts for a few kilometers, and is really beautiful. But, I also miss a right turn due to this amazing scene. I thought that did not matter, but this thought made the 180 km distance from Damme to Namur became 200km&#8230; XD</p>
<p>At least, the good news is I can watch the beautiful scenes by the highway, including the large fan cluster of the windy power plant.</p>
<p>And, I can also watched the luxury cars on the highway, and chased after them. :p</p>

<p>After checking in the hostel in Namur, I asked the staffs to suggest me a good place to fill up my starving stomach. The fist meal in <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wallonia" target="_blank">Wallonia</a> (Walloon region, the French region, the southern region) was in San Marino.</p>

<p>Well, Wallonia belonged to French region, and, in general, French language is more arrogant than others. So, the waiter and I spent a lot of time on discussing and explaining the menu, before I ordered a plate of steak.</p>

<p>The fries are just O.K. But, the bread is great &#8211; soft, sweet and yummy. You do not have to spread the butter, the natural wheat aroma and flavor are perfect. I even asked the waiter to give me more. (although I regretted as I saw the main dish&#8230; XD )</p>

<p>The main dish, the steak, with mushroom sauce. I think the sauce recipe is similar to the Burgundy stewed beef with red wine (勃根地式紅酒燉牛肉). I guess the red powders around the rim of plate are saffron. The steak is medium well, juicy and soft. Undoubtedly, very very delicious.</p>
<p>The dessert is <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zabaglione" target="_blank">Zabaglione</a>. I think they change the traditional recipe, so the color is pure white, not light yellow. Yummy, but that&#8217;s too sweet and too much for me.</p>

<h2>The watercourses</h2>
<p>Bruges is much closer to the ocean hundreds of years ago than today, and it was a city of trading and water transporting importance. Today, you can still see the water-lock-bridge in this city.<br />

<p>The end of this watercourse was the palace of trading in the past. (Actually, this watercourse went deeper than today.)<br />

<p>The watercourses are not used for transportation today, but they do become beautiful scenes in this city. (Well, after the government cleans them up. <img src='http://blog.phanix.idv.tw/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' />  Just like the <a href="http://zh.wikipedia.org/zh-tw/%E6%84%9B%E6%B2%B3" target="_blank">Love River</a> in Kaohsiung city.)<br />

<h2>The Financial City</h2>
<p>Not today, but Bruges had been a financial city. The financial activities was rising and flourishing from early 13th century. As a trading center, there were a lot of financial activities in Bruges. In 1309, the <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stock_exchange#The_first_stock_exchanges" target="_blank">first &#8220;bourse&#8221; (stock exchanging center)</a> was built in Bruges. The old brouse in Bruges is the &#8220;Fries Museum&#8221; today, and you can not be aware of money smell there anymore. (only fries <img src='http://blog.phanix.idv.tw/wp-includes/images/smilies/icon_razz.gif' alt=':P' class='wp-smiley' /> ).<br />

<h2>The name of this city</h2>
<p>Well, there are many versions about how the name, Bruges, comes from, but I love the one coming up most.</p>
<p>Because this city was a financial and trading center, so people here had to defense invaders. They facilitate the watercourses and expand them as the city moat. Concerning both transportation convenience and defense, many gates and bridges were built. So this is a city of bridges, and people called it &#8220;Bruges&#8221; later on.</p>
<p>As an important city, it&#8217;s not surprising there were many races in this city. And, people of different races liked to gather in different places, so you can find some streets named by some races or countries, such as Spanjaardstraat.</p>
<h2>Abbey and Priest</h2>
<p>There are some abbeys in Bruges, just like other cities. But, surprisingly, there is a priest school in Bruges, named Grootseminarie. More surprisingly, there are only a few students in this school, and only one student graduated in 2009. There were about 50 graduate students half a century ago. Although they can drink beers in the breakfast and be close to God, I still think they should find some ways to pull more students in. :p<br />

<h2>Lace</h2>
<p>Belgium is famous by high quality lace. Although most lace products in the world are exported from China today, you can still find many local lace products in Belgium. At the age of Crusades, there were many poor widows. So they can only lived in a small house. Look, what a small, short and low door! The small door also inform us that the height of people in the past is lower than today.<br />

<p>Those widows lived in the northeast region of Bruges, and they started to sew and weave laces for money and keeping their daily lives. The high quality of laces made Bruges renowned for years. However, with the increase of personnel cost, most lace industries have moved to China or other Asia countries.<br />

<h2>Beers</h2>
<p>Belgium is also renowned for its beers. Bruges had many breweries in old age, but only one left today &#8212; <a href="http://www.halvemaan.be/" target="_blank">De Halve Maan</a>(the half moon). They provides tour covers introducing the brewery and the whole process of making beers.<br />

<p>They had produced many brands of beers, and here is the wall of beer cans.<br />

<p>In Belgium, drinking beers can be a serious thing, not like in Taiwan. Actually, each beer has its own glass, which has the label and a designated line. If you pour a bottle of beer correctly, the boundary of beer and froth would be at the designated line, and the top of froth is just at the fringe of the glass.<br />

<h2>Buildings</h2>
<p>There are a lot of old buildings in Bruges, and you can find the revolution of building styles here. For the following picture, the left building was built in 1644, you can find the stairs-design frontage, and the same as the middle building. However, the building in the right was built in 1776, the frontage became arc design.<br />

<p>The Gothic style buildings can be found in Bruges. Pointed arch, ribbed vault and flying buttress.<br />
