Kathryn Kennedy 2008 Sauvignon Blanc

Almost transparent with a little green hue, aromas contain citrus and green apple, but surprisely no typical oak nose. Slightly acid and sweet make this wine easy to drink.

Salamandre 2007 Chardonnay

Yellow with green hint. Citrus and pear armoas accompany with mineral and oak and a little creamy.

Alfaro 2007 Pinot Noir "A"

Ruby color. The most special is raspberry aroma with cherry and flower flavor. Tannins are well integrated and taste good with refreshing acid.

Ridge 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Santa Cruz Mountains

Although its name is "Cabernet Sauvignon", it blends 42% Merlot and 2% Petit Verdot. Cabernet Sauvignon brings me typical black currant nose, and this wine also has cherry, chocolate and wood smells. The mouthfeel is smooth, I think that is due to the cuvee of Merlot.

David Bruce 2002 Petite Syrah Shell Creek

This wine is the best and biggest in this tasting. The color is deep purple, almost black, and that make me think of soy sauce. The aromas are majorly apparent blueberry, and very very very concentrated, much better than other Petite Syrah I'd tasted before. The time (7 years) also makes this wine mature and gives velvet tannins mouthfeel. Besides, the blueberry also explodes in the palate and lasts lingeringly.
