Lou Dumont is kinda negociant wine. Honestly, his wine making techniques are quite great, although the village wine is not 100% the typical style.

Pommard 1er Les Saussilles 2005

Medium+ garnet. Dense dry cranberry, strawberry, dry orange skin, dry tropical fruits (like pineapple), anise note, and soil. High acidity, medium+ body, lingering length.

SY Rating: 17.5/20

Gevrey-Chambertin 2008

Medium garnet with ruby rim. Raspberry, wood branches, bush, leather, vanilla note, green leaves note, floral petal, wet soil with rot leaves, herbal tea, and honey note compose the medium intensity nose. High acidity (but a bit sharp, not balanced very well), medium in body and tannin. In general, not as strong as an expected Gevrey-Chambertin.

SY Rating: 16.5/20

Chambolle-Musigny 2008

Medium- garnet, with ruby at rim. Cranberry, black berry, fresh cut grass, soil, chocolate, herbs, floral, light dust note, wooden spices, and hazelnut. After 1.5 hours, fruity drops. High acidity, medium- tannin, medium- body. Palate has some notes of grass and orange. Besides, a bitterness note at the palate end.

SY Rating: 17/20

[Tasted on 2014/6/20] Medium- garnet. Black berry, moss, wet soil, wooden spices, leather, and light note of soy sauce and ink. Almost at the peak and quite delicious, although its style is more distant from Chambolle-Musigny.

SY Rating: 17.5/20
