Cahors Malbec v.s. Argentina Malbec

先說結論好了,以戰鬥酒來說,如果想要清爽一點的KNOM很好,要搭配牛排類的可能阿根廷比較戰優勢。而阿根廷的香氣迷人,特別是高階酒款,而兩款Cahors高階酒款代表香氣較為含蓄但與口感有著更一致的表現。

Main dish 在跟酒搭配上比上次更好,不過依舊還是會有香味完全被Cahors單寧洗乾淨的感覺… STO

左起第三第四的 Pur Plasir 跟 Le Cedre 與右一右二的 Corte A 和 Single Vineyard 都提早三個小時開瓶,除了 Le Cedre 進 decanter 外其他直接在瓶中醒酒。很慶幸這回有這樣的醒酒時間安排,這四款較高階的酒款都算是有把實力展現出來,特別是 Cahors 產區的酒款。

Clos Troteligotte KNOM 2008

Medium-deep ruby. Compare to Flechas, KNOM is lighter and fresher in nose. Fruity berries, bouquet, and hints of sugarcane, guava and mint. Very easy to drink. The palate is medium body, with medium+ tannin. Berries is also predominant flavors.

偏深的紅寶石色澤。跟Flechas相比,KNOM在香氣與口感上都較為清爽一些。大量莓果的香氣、花香、以及一些甘蔗、番石榴與薄荷的香氣。果然是走非常容易入口的討喜戰鬥酒路線。口感並不濃郁,單寧也很適度,莓果類風味仍是飲用時香氣的主角。

Clos Troteligotte KLYS 2007

Not as fruity as KNOM, has more barrel and mineral note in nose. Besides, more structured, and more lingering Truffle, black berry and leather. Consistent in palate and nose. More tannin mouth feel than KNOM, and smoother than Carlos Pulenta Vistalba Corte B.

跟 KNOM 相比,雖然沒有那麼 fruity,但是明顯地有木桶及一些礦石味道,還有松露、黑莓、皮革。除此之外,整個酒體結構更為結實,在口中的餘韻更長。口中表現與香氣一致。單寧比 KNOM 來得多且細緻緊實,也比Corte B 來得更佳。

Chateau Haut Monplasir Pur Plasir 2008

This time it shows its full potential. Creamy, black berry jam, caramel, butter, fresh grass, bouquet, popcorn and some hints of mandarin medicine. Very consistent in palate and nose. Can lasting for more than 4 hours. Fantastic.

這回總算時間夠長,讓 Pur Plasir 可以展現實力,三小時瓶中醒酒是對的。奶油、黑莓果醬、焦糖、清新草地、花香、爆米花、還有一些草藥味很完美地展現開來。慢慢地喝了將近四個小時都還是很美味,驚奇的實力!

Chateau du Cedre “Le Cedre” 2007

Personally think 3 hrs decanting is still enough, 5 hrs in decanter might be necessary. Very similar to the tasting experience 2 wks ago. Fur, leather, black berry jam, vanilla, cream, and coffee. Cedar wood note is more remarkable than last time.

個人覺得三小時的醒酒器醒酒還不太夠,雖然比上次好,但是應該放個五個小時。跟兩週前品飲的感覺很類似,獸皮、黑莓果醬、香草、奶油與咖啡,不過這次雪松的木質香氣比上次明顯許多。

Flechas de Los andes Gran Malbec 2009

Fruity, Bouquet, honey, light vanilla, toffee. Charming and gorgeous. Black cherry and leather shows in the palate. Personally think this is the best with steak tonight.

Carlos Pulenta vistalba Corte B 2007

63% Malbec, 22% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Bonarda

Chocolate (decreasing), black berry, dry grass, mint (increasing), caramel, coffee, bouquet. Shows its potential after 2 hrs sleep. Palate has green leaves, cinnamon, clove, and ink hint. Tannin is high and young.

高丹寧且年輕。前兩個小時很悶,沒什麼香氣,後來才有巧克力、黑莓、乾草、薄荷、焦糖、咖啡、花香。入口還有樹葉、肉桂、丁香與墨水味道。

Carlos Pulenta vistalba Corte A 2007

87% Malbec, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Bonarda

Deep ruby. Flavorful nose and attractive. Bouquet, black berry, coffee, chocolate paste, caramel, popcorn. The palate is also good, but not so consistent to the nose, probably need more aging. Licorice, leather, dark fruits.

香味迷人。花香、黑莓、巧克力醬、咖啡、焦糖、爆玉米花。入口表現相當紮實濃厚,不過跟嗅聞的香氣不太一致,也許需要多一點陳年時間,甘草、皮革與黑色水果。

Trapiche Single Vineyard Malbec 2007 Vina Adolfo Ahumada

Good quality. Cream, black berry jam, coffee, wood note. Very dense in nose, but the I think it needs more aging for the palate peak.
