Massolino 2008 Barolo DOCG

[ezcol_1half] IMG_6214
[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end] Compare to Paitin 2007 Barbaresco, this Barolo is a bit lighter. High in tannin and acidity. Probably due to the vintage (07' vintage is better, in general) and winery style. Rose petals, light tar, plastic nose, pomegranate, and soy sauce.

30 months in large cask (Barolo DOCG only requires 38 months aging before release, and at least 18 months among them in barrel) makes this 08 vintage is approachable earlier.

SY Rating: 18/20

Pronounced nose, with black berry, black cherry, butter, vanilla, mineral, and light green leaves. High intensity flavor on the plate, full body, high tannin, and medium+ acidity. Very long length. Can enjoy for hours.

SY Rating: 18/20
