Medium nose intensity. Flint, mineral, light petrol, citrus like dry tangerine, cooked pineapple. Smells like a combination of Chablis and dry Germany Riesling.
Medium(+) body, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium(+) intensity, medium(+) finish. Oak, yeast. Taste has a image of Bourgogne, but more oak than fruit. Oak note is not yet well integrated, too early for now.

Szepsy Úrágya Furmint 2015
Vintage evaluation: The year 2015 started with a mild winter followed by a balanced weather spring. After a warm and dry summer that helped the ripening of the bunches the late autumn was rather cold and rainy. The vintage resulted in concentrated wines with relatively high acidity but with good balance and a good potential for aging.
Vineyard: Planted in the mid-1960’s, close to the village of Mád. Quite a steep site and with bedrock soil and red clay it doesn’t make life easy, especially not reaching the site after heavy rain. Most of the vines planted are Furmint, but a fifth is Hárslevelű, planted primarily in 1964.
