Green pepper, black berries, wet soil+grass, some leather note
After breathing, floral (violet) and hawthorn.
Licorice, black berries and plum, ends with some acidity at the tip of tongue.
Young tannin, but not too tart. I think it still needs 1~2 to mature.
70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc.
(Amazing! Is it due to the 2005 vintage?! The body is so well structured with 70% Merlot.)
30% in new oak during fermentation. 19 months aging in barrels.
This chateau is owned by Stephanie and Yves Valelot, and its wine region is Bordeaux Superieur. They bought this chateau in 1990, and the wine making consulting is Michel Rolland. The soil contains clay and gravel, a good place for merlot.
