臨時揪來喝的 Chateau Larrivet Haut Brion 1977
Below shoulder, wet cork, moldy on the interior of cap, leaking, unbelievably terrible status. Takes me lots of effort for corkage. But, surprisingly, although it’s old, it still ALIVE. Obedience to the aging potential of Grave fine wines.
You can find the label stated Grave in this 1977 vintage. After 1987, this estate belongs to the new created appellation “Pessac-Leognan”. Besides, 1987 is also the year that this estate invited Michel Rolland as the consultant. However, after tasting, personally think this grand vin de Pessac-Leognan is outstanding even without MR.
Medium+ garnet and brick, rim of brown.
Leather, brewed coffee, pickled plum and chocolate at the beginning. Shows white flower, and elegant wood and incense after then. Light black berry hint, and floral honey hint (no swirling), gravel hint, mint hint, caramel hint, black tea hint.
Medium tannin, extremely velvet. M+ acidity, and lingering. Medium body after 30+ yrs aging, and palate is plum, light licorice, chocolate, light orange flavor, and green pepper hint.
