Monte la Reina Vizorro Frizzante Verdejo, D.O. Toro

Medium nose. clean. preserves of peach, apple, and citrus. Mineral nose of rubber and petrol. Cane suger nose. Developed.
Medium+ body. Medium+ acidity. Medium- alc (12%). Palate flavors are not as complex as the nose. Lemon, preserve of pineapple and citrus. Note of rubber. Cane sugar. Has a bit alc mouth feeling, not so balanced.[/wpcol_1half_end]

Monte la Reina Vizorro Tempranillo 2011, D.O. Toro

M+ nose, clean. Blue berry preserve, black currant, and a bit milky. A bit alc. nose.
M+ body, m tannin, h alc. Spice bitterness. black currant. m acid. The medium+ flavor intensity decrease quickly on the palate. Apparent alc. mouth feeling. developing.[/wpcol_1half_end]

Finca La Estacada 2011, D.O. Uclés

[/wpcol_1half][wpcol_1half_end id="" class="" style=""] 6 months in new American barrel. 100% Tempranillo.
M+ ruby color. clear. Legs.
Clean M+ nose. Although not so strong as Vizorro 2011, this shows more elegant. Floral, black cherry preserve, a bit oak creamy note, and a bit leather note. developing.
M+ tannin, full body, m acid, m alc(13.5%). Black cherry, black chocolate, cane sugar. long length. Very fruity, but dry. The alc. note is not balanced very well.[/wpcol_1half_end]

Monte La Reina Roble 2009, D.O. Toro

M+ ruby garnet, clear. legs.
M+ nose, clean. Cranberry, black berry, floral, smoky, hazelnut. very good complexity (guess 30% new barrel). developing.
M+ body. High tannin. M- alc. M acidity. long length. distinct intensity of palate flavor. Oak, chocolate, light floral, and black berry. light licorice note and bitterness at the end.[/wpcol_1half_end]

Balbas Reserva 2001, D.O. Ribera del Duero

[/wpcol_1half][wpcol_1half_end id="" class="" style=""] 24 months in barrel, and 18 months in bottle. 90% Tempranillo + 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
M+ ruby garnet.
Pronounced nose. DISTINCT Fresh blue berry, mix with vanilla, floral and chocolate.
full body, h acidity, high tannin. The palate is very consistent to the nose. Very good. lingering. High tannin(14%), but well balanced. can keep for another 10 yrs. (old barrel)[/wpcol_1half_end]

Balbas Crianza 2010, D.O. Ribera del Duero

M+ ruby. clean. legs.
petal, lether, black cherry. a bit oak flavor.
High tannin, H acidity. M+ body. Consistent to the nose. has some clove note.[/wpcol_1half_end]

Finca La Estacada Varietales 2007, D.O. Uclés

[/wpcol_1half][wpcol_1half_end id="" class="" style=""] 18 months in barrel, 7 months in bottle. 40% Tempranillo, 30% Syrah, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot.
M+ ruby.
A lot of new oak nose. Caramel, chocolate paste, black currant, plum preserve, leather, light eucalyptus leaves note, and ink note. (not that much new oak? 20%?)
Full body, H tannin , m+ acidity, h alc. (14%). can be kept for 10 yrs.[/wpcol_1half_end]
