Laboure-Roi Latricieres Chambertin Grand Cru 2004

[ezcol_1half]IMG_6648[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end] Incense, fresh oak, ginseng root, black berry. medium+ tannin. h acidity. spice note. The body is the thinnest among the 4 Grand Crus today, but the complexity is quite good.

Although Laboure-Roi is a négociant and had some scandal a few years ago, this Latricieres Chambertin wine is well presenting the terrior characteristics.

SY Rating: 18/20

Pierre Bouree 2005 Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru

[ezcol_1half]IMG_6649[/ezcol_1half] [ezcol_1half_end] rich black berry, more fruity than others. Oak, leather, gravel note. creamy note. The complexity is a bit less than Laboure-Roi Latricieres Chambertin 2004, but presents more concentrated fruity.

Classic Charmes Chambertin Grand Cru wine, quite straight forward fruity. However, a bit boring compare to other Grand Crus today, probably need more aging to build the complexity.

SY Rating: 18/20
